October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The month of October is dedicated to Women and awareness of breast cancer. If you are between the age of 40-49 you should start getting mammograms. When you are between the age of 50-74, you should complete a mammogram every year. It is important to tell your health care provider if you have a family member with breast cancer or the genetic gene mutation.

A mammogram is not invasive, usually only takes a few minutes to complete and tells you and your health care provider a lot of information.

Share this with everyone around you and encourage them to complete their mammogram for a healthy month of October!
