Consider a PSA for Screening!


Who is screening for?

  • Men ages 50-69 who are at average risk for prostate cancer

  • Men who are 45 years of age or older who have a history of a father, brother or son diagnosed with prostate cancer before age 65.

What are the risk factors?

  • Any male between 50-69

  • African Americans have an increased risk

  • Family History

Warning signs for prostate cancer

  • Difficulty with urination

  • Blood in the urine

  • Impotence

  • Bone pain in hips, spine and ribs

  • Nerve pain, muscle weakness and numbness in the feet

Screening for prostate cancer with a PSA and digital exam if needed, provides knowledge and knowledge is power!
